Hero Revamps: Catspaw? by Heckfire Hero Revamps: Catspaw? by Heckfire
As an exercise, I tried reversing the genders of two of my more prominent characters, the Mighty Goo and Catspaw, mainly because the archetypes they represent, the gooey "Plastic Man" type and the cat-themed hero, are typically male and female respectively. Since I HATE to slavishly follow the expected, I decided to try them as the opposite of the "expected" genders.
He, um, doesn't look very masculine, tho'...OK, so I need some more practice with drawing guys.

Looks masculine enough to be a boy. Actually looks to be more confident than the female version, but maybe that's just because of the pose.

I think part of it is that the whiskers are so high up that they look sort of like long eyelashes, which is a cartoon shorthand sign for "girl".

It's maybe not he-macho masculine, but nonetheless passably viewable as "young male" in build. Think Robin here.
