MOC: Onu-Matoran Kehotay

Description

I decided that I would show off the MOCs I made for my long-defunct "Legend of The Lost" fan-story in order of the chapters they appeared in (which, on the down side, means my favorites won't show up until I get to "Book 3: The Mask Eater").

So, naturally, I end up starting off with one I made a week ago...oy.

This is my "Toa-Sue" Kehotay back when he was still an Onu-Matoran, back at the beginning of the story. Nothing too special here, just the basic Metru Nui Matoran body; I got the idea when I tried to mimic my son's idea of using the Metru-toran body as chest armor, but it didn't work.

Like pretty much all Onu-Matorans, Kehotay worked in the Great Archives. Being something of a loner, he took the job of venturing into the forgotten tunnels and passages to find lost artifacts and exhibits forgotten by all, which is how he managed to avoid being rounded up by the Vahki and put in stasis like all the other Matorans. By the time the Rorzahks finally caught up to him, the Great Cataclysm hit and they were all buried, the Rorzahks crushed by rocks while Keho was nearly drowned in Energized Protodermis from a ruptured exhibit. Once it was drained by a crack from the aftershocks, he was no longer a Matoran, but it wasn't until a fight with a Rahi that escaped from another ruptured exhibit that he realized that he was actually a Toa.

...and, for the record, I'm aware that having a Toa born from Energized Protodermis is unorthodox at best. On the other hand, there's no real reason it couldn't happen...after all, the stuff is sentient and he WAS created as a bit of a parody originally.

Also, I'm amused by the realiztion that he was buffer as a Matoran than as a Toa.
