Just to let you guys know I'm not dead yet, here's a tentative sketch of a new take on my old character, the Pariah Knight. See, periodically I dust off my old superhero setting, Iron City, and try out some hero concepts, and a recurring one was a character named "Sparrowhawk" who bore a bit too strong a resemblance to the Cassandra Kane "Batgirl." Still, I had a cool idea for the character's main gimmick that I didn't want to waste: essentially, the character "viewed" the world simply as a series of threats and weaknesses, always knowing where to strike for maximum effect and where to dodge to avoid being hit, even by bullets...I was going to throw in the limitation of blindness to compliment it, either permanently or as a prerequisite to activate the power.
Well, as I mentioned in the descriptions of the two previous "Pariah Knight" ideas, that character has, since its creation, constantly bounced back and forth between seeming a blatant ripoff of Spawn or Ghost Rider...so, since I couldn't use the "target sense" power for Sparrowhawk anymore, I thought "why not use that for Pariah Knight instead, and ditch the supernatural hook entirely?"
What I have here is a streamlined version of the "traditional" PK suit...me being me, I also couldn't help but throw in the idea of him being an archer, since a bow and arrows are typically the LAST things you want a blind superhero to specialize in, but I'm not 100% on it.
The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of him retaining his sight but needing to be blindfolded to use his "target senses"...I'll need to tinker some.
